04 Jul 2024What is your role at Apolix?
I joined Apolix as a Senior Process Intelligence Consultant just over one year ago. I lead the technical implementation of projects so I oversee the data connections, validations, and the building of dashboards that help us uncover valuable insights for customers.
Additionally, I foster and maintain close relationships with clients to fully understand their challenges, ensuring our team delivers high-quality work and help them realise maximum value.
How would you explain process mining to a five-year-old?
Imagine your daily commute to school or work. By charting out each step of your journey, process mining helps pinpoint delays and suggests alternative routes or actions to get you there faster.
Why did you join Apolix?
I’ve always been passionate about crunching data and uncovering value. Joining Apolix gives me the opportunity to do this on a continual basis. Not only do I get to delve into data, but I also have the chance to act on these insights, driving meaningful change and helping customers transform their organisations.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Working with customers from diverse countries and industries is highly rewarding. Every project always has new or additional aspects, meaning we’re continually learning which always keeps it interesting!
The knowledge I’m gaining about different processes and IT systems is invaluable, as it can be leveraged across various projects. This expertise is not only crucial for my current role but also enhances my professional growth, equipping me with skills that will benefit me wherever I go in the future.
What do you enjoy most about working at Apolix?
Collaboration. I enjoy working alongside people who are passionate about problem solving and whose genius and creativity surpass the average person.
I also love the social aspect. We are serious when it comes to work, but we’re also serious about never forgetting to have fun.
What is your favourite memory at Apolix?
My favourite memory would have to be the Apolix gala earlier this year. Bringing everyone together to celebrate our hard work and successes was really meaningful.
I will cherish the memories made that night for years to come. Dancing all night is deeply ingrained in the culture at Apolix!
Are there any projects you’re currently working on that excite you?
The past few months in Madrid have been the highlight of my year. I’ve been enriching our existing relationships with Celonis and actively participating in finding top talent for our expanding team.
I also joined the Spanish chapter of Women in Process Mining, where I will be supporting the growth of the community. This initiative is something I’m passionate about as it focuses on empowering women, especially young professionals, to overcome their fears and insecurities about working in the tech world.
Both projects are helping me develop my skillset and to take on a more leading role, which is something I’m excited about.
Which of Apolix’s four values – transparency, team, impact, and citizenship – resonates most with you and why?
Impact is the value that resonates with me the most. We work hard every day, and I draw energy from knowing that my efforts are making a positive difference in the world.
What is one goal, either personal or professional, that you have for the future?
This year, I’m all about shrinking my eco-footprint. I want to be more mindful of how I live so I’ve been eating greener, using my bike or walking more often, and finding other ways to make a real difference for the planet.
